Ball Nurses' Sunken Garden

Flo has been conserved and again looks beautiful. Flo's
renewal served as a "jump-start" for rehabilitation of
the Ball Nurses' Sunken Garden and Convalescent Park. We
feel confident that Flo will be returned to her
rightful place of honor in the garden before the IU School of
Nursing's 100th Anniversary in 2014. What a wonderful record!
We hope that every member of every IU
School of
NursingClass recalls all the good things about their school
experiences, and honors themselves and their class by giving
something back to the School. . .
We feel very
positive about this campaign to restore the garden/park. Please
tell everyone you know
about it. The experience has been that as people learn
about this project, they have
voiced unanimous approval - we think that approval will translate
into good financial support when the campaign becomes public.

Planning the 50th
Reunion
Plans for the 50th Reunion are in progress. The dates
for the Reunion are Friday, May 15, 2009 for a dinner for those who can
make that event, and Saturday, May 16, 2009 for a morning coffee, lunch
with all of the other honored classes. We are looking into the
opportunities for tours (we want everyone to see Flo) time for lots of
conversation and reminiscing, and a Saturday evening meal for those
still present. Please let one of the
above classmates know if you have ideas and
suggestions. The reunion will be what we plan for it to be, and our
goal is to make it memorable and enjoyable.
